A Psychotherapist is a mental health professional who has a graduate level degree (Masters or Doctorate) and specializes in counseling and psychotherapy. Psychotherapists provide individual, couples, family, and group counseling and psychotherapy. Psychotherapists are qualified to assess and treat mental and emotional conditions and addictions, but do not prescribe medications.
